Show Notes

Some nights feel heavier than others.

The kind of night where something happens and you don’t know who to call.
The kind where the world feels very quiet—and very far away.

This is one of those stories.

In this short, unfiltered episode, Fawn shares what it felt like to move through an unexpected emergency on almost no sleep, and the surprising truth that revealed itself in the middle of it all:

Even when it feels like no one is there, someone always is.

It may not always in the way you expect, or in the form you recognize.

But in small moments, through a stranger’s kindness, a simple reassurance, a few steady words, connection finds its way back to you.

This episode is a gentle reminder:

If you’ve been feeling alone lately…
stay for this one.

It’s only a few minutes.
But it might shift something in your heart.

Sometimes the “angels” in your life are only there for a moment.
To help. To guide. To say exactly what you need to hear.

And then they disappear.

But their message stays.

“Everything will be okay.”

This week’s episode is only 5 minutes long, but it might be the one someone needs most.

Transcript - Quick Reminder FAWN: [00:00:00] Welcome back to our Friendly World everybody. Hello. MATT: Hello. FAWN: So, Matt, we've been talking since 2020 on the air on this podcast, right? MATT: Yes, we have. FAWN: We've never missed a week, ever. MATT: Correct? FAWN: Every single week. we promised each other and we promised you that we will always be here no matter what. And through whatever has happened, we've always. we, we always showed up. So, last night we had an emergency, so this is gonna be a five minute episode. We're going on almost no sleep. MATT: Oh my Lord. FAWN: And, um, so, but here we go. One message for today as you're remembering. How we show up as we all remember, how we show up for others, for our future friends, for our friends, for our friends to be just going through our emergency from, [00:01:00] um, today, people. Angels, I always say this, they always show up. They may not be your forever friends, but people will show up with messages and with help, and they may disappear when their job is done. That's okay, but it's, it's to remind you like I, I'm speaking from personal experience. It's to remind us that we're not alone ever. So if you feel like you have no friends, like. At midnight last night, I it, I was scrolling through my phone. Who could I call? I can't, I, you know, so you have to rely on yourself. You have to rely on your own inner power on God, however way you choose to see that. Um, so there you have it. You are never alone. But I wanna, I wanna [00:02:00] pass along this, this lesson. In these words. So here we go. May your words carry the warmth of truth. May you reveal what people already feel, but cannot yet name. May your voice, so uniquely yours become a bridge between hearts that forgot they were always connected. And in doing so, you are not just speaking about how you are relating to someone and how you're friends. This is what creates friendship. that's what I've got. I'm incredibly sleep deprived. Anything to add? MATT: Salutes and salutations to those who stood out for me today. Absolutely. They're always there if you look, FAWN: yeah, like I, I just, two people showed up to help. I mean, yes, we [00:03:00] were paying them, but, um, they, they could sense I was on the verge of total breakdown tears and they both offered such wisdom, which is, which was, don't worry. Everything will be okay. Everything's gonna be okay. No matter how it looks, everything's gonna be okay. MATT: And I think we might have gotten an idea for a future podcast too. So we'll see. FAWN: Alright, um, I'm gonna find out why the kids, the kids are, why are you guys laughing at me? All right. All right. Alright. They're MATT: making faces. FAWN: Nevermind. MATT: Probably. FAWN: Alright. Alright. Alright. Right. See you all hopefully in a few days. Uh, please reach out to us and also please, please sign up for my mailing list. It's, uh, I, I wanna do the subscription for $11 a month, where every month I will send, a piece of my art from my book to you, like a little care package from your friend. MATT: Pieces of wisdom. Beautiful things. FAWN: Thank you. [00:04:00] Um, that's it. Ugh, guys. Hang in there. Talk to you soon. MATT: Be well.
